How to Treat Acne with Natural Skin Care Products

by Abigail McKenzee

Puberty equals acne. Hormone levels spike and this means an increase in sebum production. Acne tends to follow because the excess sebum, dirt and dead skin cells mix together to clog pores.

Since acne is so common, there are a great deal of products available. But, have you ever considered taking the natural approach? Natural acne treatment can help you deal with acne problems and reduce your chances of suffering from unwanted side effects.

Here's a look at some natural skin care products and recipes that you can try out. Nevertheless, keep in mind that because natural products are more gentle traditional products, they take longer to so be patient.

Homemade Acne Cream

Take a mixing bowl and add 1 1/2 a cup of baking soda and 1 1/2 cup of water. Mix well. Add more baking soda if you think that the mixture is runny or add more water if it is too thick. Once you've completed this step, grate half of a cucumber and add it to the mixture.

In a separate bowl, mash up two apple slices until they form a paste. Add this paste to the baking soda mixture. Mix well before adding 1 tablespoon of honey.

Place the mixture in the refrigerator for an hour. After this time, take the bowl out and begin rubbing the mixture on your face. Let the mixture sit on your skin for five minutes before washing it off with warm water and a wet washcloth.

Tea Tree Oil & Acne Treatment

Tea tree oil is gathered from the Melaleuca alternifoliais tree from Australia. It has shown impressive results in treating acne. This is mostly due to the face that it contains bacteria-fighting substances called "terpenes". Acne is often caused by bacteria and the terpenes can destroy or weaken them.

Tea tree oil has very little side effects. However, it can irritate sensitive skin, so proceed with caution.

Treating Acne with Aloe Vera

The watery gel from this succulent is very effective against acne. It is very rich in enzymes and has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. Some people prefer to ingest aloe vera because they believe that it cleanses their skin from the inside-out.

Honey Kills off Acne Bacteria

Honey has been used as an anti-bacterial product and acne treatment for centuries. Due to its low water content and acidic pH level, it is a poor environment for the growth of bacteria.

This is wonderful news for acne sufferers. As mentioned above, acne is generally caused by bacteria. This means that by applying honey masks, you can help eliminate these bacteria.

Always keep in mind that the right acne treatment is essential to good skin health. Not only is acne an aesthetic problem, but if not treated properly it can also lead to acne scarring.

BIOSKINFORTE is a natural acne treatment that is not only effective as an adult acne cream, but is also highly effective against stubborn acne. BIOSKINFORTE is made with biological components, which include snail serum. This amazing natural ingredient is known to help treat even the worst acne condition, in other words, acne scars.

"Adaptogen: an agent that allows the body to counter adverse physical, chemical, or biological stressors by raising nonspecific resistance toward such stress, thus allowing the organism to “adapt” to the stressful circumstances".

Adaptogens have a normalizing effect on the body and are capable of either toning down the activity of hyperfunctioning systems or strengthening the activity of systems that are currently having a poor ability to respond adequately.

Many adaptogens contain polysaccharides that stimulate immune system components and have immune system enhancing benefits.
