The effects of wrinkle creams: patience is the key

by Jen Hopkins

Most of the women (generally in their mid-thirties) become frustrated and depressed due to the existence of fine lines on their faces and around their eyes. Women have always been praised by men for their beauty. In ancient days, beauty was worshiped.

Think back to the last time you visited a museum or art show. What were the women doing in almost every example? That's right, they were preening and cleaning and doing whatever was possible to improve their appearance. Honestly, that's what men notice first, leading to those 'Miss American Pageants' and local beauty contests. When is that last time you saw a wrinkle or skin crease on any of those? That's right!NEVER!

But that devastating morning when a woman starts noticing wrinkles and lines can be severe. With the face as her most visible feature, dermatologists are focusing on many new ways to reverse these affects of aging.

As a woman's age increases, the amount of 'collagen' that her body produces decreases proportionally. The research proves that the lack of 'collagen' means that lack of smooth, radiant skin, and results in wrinkles and lines.

The world of cosmetics and skin care is replete with hundreds of wrinkle creams and similar skin care products which assure you a wrinkle-free skin within a few weeks of their application. But we all are aware of "The effects of wrinkle creams" in reality.

However, it's unfair to write off all wrinkle creams in one fail swoop. There are large companies who do a ton of research and testing that do produce creams that can have positive results. Even when one of these is found, each woman's skin condition is different, and this has to be considered before pulling out the credit card.

While shopping for the best one to meet your situation, do research. Stick with the big name companies that have a reputation to keep, an industry that follows them, and has a proven track record. Cheaper 'flash in the pan' products often lack these benefits, and you risk spending more trying knock off after knock off.

You must wait for a few weeks to be able to gauge the effects of wrinkle creams. Do not get carried away by advertisements of wrinkle creams. Advertisements are designed to sell a product through clever marketing tactics. You can also visit a skin care expert for understanding the effects of wrinkle creams.

"Adaptogen: an agent that allows the body to counter adverse physical, chemical, or biological stressors by raising nonspecific resistance toward such stress, thus allowing the organism to “adapt” to the stressful circumstances".

Adaptogens have a normalizing effect on the body and are capable of either toning down the activity of hyperfunctioning systems or strengthening the activity of systems that are currently having a poor ability to respond adequately.

Many adaptogens contain polysaccharides that stimulate immune system components and have immune system enhancing benefits.
