How to Lose 10 Pounds For a Big Date

Okay, so you've got a week to shed some extra pounds before the big date on Saturday night! And now you've probably been looking at yourself in the mirror, randomly cursing and wondering how to lose ten pounds by wishing it off. Sorry Cinderella, there's no fairy godmother to grant your wishes now. But don't fret: You CAN do it. Read on to find out how!

Water, Water, and more Water!

You heard me right.

You can lose weight quickly with water. The human body naturally retains water. So when we drink lots of it, our bodies decide it's okay to loosen its death grip on that all that extra water. In fact, it's entirely possible to lose the extra weight in less than a week.

If you want to know how to lose 10 pounds, drink 100 ounces of water this week every day.

What's that, you say? You hate water? You're not alone, but there are ways to make it taste better. Freshen it up with a bit of lemon or lime. You can also sweeten it up with a little bit of honey if you must. Whatever you do, just keep drinking!

Eat Smaller Portions.

A lot people don't know that you can lose 10 pounds by eating more meals a day. Instead of eating three large meals, it's better to eat 6 smaller meals a day. Yes, that's right. 6 meals a day, however, you want to make them much smaller than a normal meal.

Just to give you an idea of a good portion size, you could have 1/2 cup of spinach alongside a 1 or 2 ounce cut of lean meat. That'll do the trick to help you slim down for the hot date with that hunk.

But don't go cutting back on food so much that you starve your body! Just eat those smaller meals more often and drink tons of water.

What a relief it will be to fit into that gorgeous dress you bought for Saturday night. And afterwards, you can celebrate with a little Rocky Road!
